It’s been out a week today, but The Hurt You Gave Me has debuted on the Irish homegrown charts at #11.

With today’s listings, the Kilkenny man sits just outside a top ten that includes James Vincent McMorrow, Wild Youth, Choice Music Prize winner for 2020 Denise Chaila, Picture This and Dermot Kennedy.

The Hurt You Gave Me is Grace’s first single release for 2021 coming off the back of a breakthrough 2020 with the release of Fake Fine. Locally, it’s been getting heavy play on KCLR as the station’s PlayIrish Single of the Week.

It appears on the charts under the Columbia imprint, the Graiguenamanagh native having signed to Sony last summer.

The Irish Homegrown Top 20, compiled by The Official Charts Company, highlights the biggest tracks by Irish acts each week based on combined sales across physical, download and streaming. It is the only chart focusing on artists from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

It’s also been a pretty busy week for Robert Grace on TikTok as his star continues to rise there with his short-form videos breaking though the one million follower barrier heading into the weekend.
