In The Game
In a first for Mick Flannery, he and Irish newcomer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Susan O’Neill have come together on collaboration album In the Game.
The new album is a themed collection of songs about a couple’s coming together and falling apart – a journey familiar to most.
Speaking of the album’s September release, Flannery is delighted with the outcome.
“I’m very happy that’s it’s coming out. Writing and recording this album was a great experience and some recent live gigs in Kilkenny have me looking forward to touring this album.”
“The album runs loosely as a concept, myself and Susan playing two people in a troubled relationship. Both are in the entertainment industry and the difference between their respective success helps to drive them apart.”
“The album is called In The Game and features a mixture of songs written by Susan, myself, a co-write of ours, and two other co-writes including a Christy Skulls inspired song.”
