This year’s festival brings the likes of Darlingside, Deep Dark Woods, Whitney Rose and Birds of Chicago to Kilkenny. They’ll be joined by Michael Nau, Molly Tuttle, Rachel Baiman, the Blasters and heaps more between Friday and Monday.

Kilkenny Roots Festival Gig Guide

This year’s festival opens up with a special (and long sold out) show at Billy Byrne’s, lead by Seamus Fogarty, which will also see tribute paid to the late Willie Meighan.

Saturday and Sunday gigs kick off at 1pm in Cleere’s Theatre on Parliament Street, while Monday brings more sold out shows from Rachel Baiman, Molly Tuttle and Peter Oren.
