In: Sight – Music and Arts in Callan this Friday and Saturday

In: Sight is a celebration of the arts in Callan, and it takes place this Friday and Saturday.

Hot on the heels of this year’s Abhainn Ri Festival, the focus turns to visual arts and music this weekend in Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

In a new initiative from Trasna Productions, Fennelly’s of Callan, KCAT Arts Centre and Workhouse Union, In: Sight is a two-day trail of events covering workshops, readings, exhibitions, music and movies is set to unfold across Friday and Saturday.

Here’s a look at what’s happening.

Friday 13 June

  • 11AM: Print Workshop, Fennelly’s of Callan
  • 12PM: Snug Work: Paul Bokslag, Fennelly’s of Callan
  • 2PM: KCAT Open Studio, KCAT Arts Centre
  • 6PM: Library Reading & Tunes, Workhouse Union
  • 7.30PM: The Callan Trilogy, Meet at Workhouse Union
  • 8.30PM: Courtyard Music, Fenelly’s of Callan
  • 8.30PM: Window Works: Paraic Leahy, Nolan’s Shop Window on West Street

Saturday 14 June

  • 9AM: Breakfast & Yogalates, Fennelly’s of Callan
  • 2PM: Oisín Walsh Agnew, Fennelly’s of Callan
  • 3PM: Thomas Barron Retrospective, KCAT Arts Centre
  • 4.30PM: Open Studio, Tony O’Malley Studio
  • 6PM: Craft, Design & Rural Futures, Fennelly’s of Callan
  • 7.30PM: Courtyard Movies, Fennelly’s of Callan
