Following on from one of the runaway songs of 2020 in Fake Fine, Kilkenny’s Robert Grace has debuted his latest offering.

The Hurt You Gave Me premiered on RTÉ 2FM with Tracy Clifford on Thursday afternoon ahead of the Friday release.

Grace is part of the 2021 wave of #2FMrising artists.

Of the track, he says “The Hurt You Gave Me” comes out! It’s about your ex still trying to control you after a toxic breakup while also trying to cope with all the pain by drinking too much & hooking up with random strangers”

At 2.30 it’s primed for radio and a firecracker of a track. Well played.

Grab The Hurt You Gave Me on Apple Music, Deezer, Napster and Spotify or locally hit up KCLR (WhatsApp) for radio play.

The new track comes off the back of a busy 2020 that saw the Kilkenny-man link up with RCA Records US/ Columbia (Germany) under the Sony family with TikTok contributing hugely to a growing legion of fans. He’s charted inside the top 20 of the Irish Singles Charts and made number 1 on the Official Irish Homegrown Chart.

Its predecessor, Fake Fine, rounded out 2020 as the fifth biggest song by a homegrown artist, trailing Dermot Kennedy, Niall Horan, Picture This and Shane Codde and popping him ahead of Gavin James, Irish Women In Harmony, Hozier, The Coronas, Chasing Abbey, Kodaline and other quality homegrown acts.
