With the October leg of the Lámh Chúnta sessions underway at Cleere’s, two stalwarts of the Irish music scene took to the stage on Thursday and Friday night this week.
Up first, Limerick native turned Kilkenny resident Mick Hanly packed the house with songs old and new while on Friday, Cork’s John Blek made a long-awaited return trip to Kilkenny, again filling Cleere’s with a sound that’s become familiar to many local ears over the years.
Next on stage at Cleere’s this coming Tuesday and Wednesday are Kilkenny’s Devious Theatre, trading live music for a return to live theatre. Tuesday’s affair is sold out with limited seats for Wednesday available here.
Ian McDonnell of Mc Gig Photography was on hand to capture everything on the stage.
