One Take Sessions: in 1 week, 4 days, 22 hours, 25 minutes

Ilya K In The House Tonight

Ilya K

Ilya K are set to rock Kilkenny once again and they’ll be doing so in the Zoo Club on Parliament Street tonight. The winners of last year’s Murphys Live competition had to cancel their Thomastown gig a few weeks back but return to Kilkenny tonight before heading on to the Underground in Carlow tomorrow night.

We’ve seen the lads in action a few times and myself and Daw have enjoyed sharing a bill with them back at the start of 2006 and I’ll happily vouch for them being a top class act. It’s loud, it’s upbeat, it’s experimental in pieces and it’ll leave you crying out for more - the music that is. Collectively, the lads are packed brim full of energy on the stage and it makes for a cracking live set. The new single ‘Empire Is A Cave’ is a great one as well and worth grabbing while you can.

Take a look at their MySpace for some music or better still, go see them live tonight in Kilkenny. Kick off should be around 9:30/10pm.
