Clergy CD Launch This Saturday

Its been known for a while now that Clergy were coming back to Kilkenny off their summer European tour and fresh out of the Access All Areas gig in Koln, the boys return not just for a powerhouse gig this weekend with New York Fashion Week and Maula, but they’re also launching their new demo cd ‘Meditations Of Linus’ on the night!

Now you HAVE to go! And a hint for you…. the new cd is damn good!

Come The Bank Holiday, Come The Strats

Warriors Of The Night, The Strats hit Kilkenny on Sunday August 6th and are looking for your support on the weekend. Based out of Monaghan, The Strats are and Irish two-piece blues rock band featuring Will Ludford on guitar and Nigel Brannigan on Keyboards.

From Music Mart….

The Strats are an Ireland-based blues duo with a classic no-frills approach. And in that, they go some way to tapping into what the genre is all about. In conversaton, their guitarist Will Ludford, is achingly honest about the problems of touring with a live band, and the financial practicalities of doing so – his answer being to strip it back to the “essentials”; himeslf, his guitar, a keyboard player – Nigel Brannigan, a mic and a drum machine. Well the blues always was about survival, making it through whatever right? Or did I miss a meeting?
So Sunday, August 6th in Cleere’s if you’re around from 9pm then do drop by!
